Tell us about your team
I am lucky to work with 8 superstars handpicked due to their skills and passion in their particular field of expertise. They are; BDR, CSM, x2 Partner Managers, Renewals Manager, x2 Presales and a Value Engineer.
Where are your teammates located?
Mostly across the UK with the exception of our lead Pre-sales who currently resides in Japan.
What does your team do? What are you responsible for?
The CPG Team put Consumer Packaged Goods companies business success first.Â
So the Customer Success Manager (CSM) is the pivotal role within the team who we all support as they are responsible for the success of the customer once in engaging with WalkMe. The CSM ensures the business value identified in the buying process is delivered.
Prior to CSM engagement the BDR, Pre-sales & Value engineer experts work support companies to purchase WalkMe to deliver the highest bang for their buck. This could be a holistic technical adoption play, process compliance or, solving for a business issue. Examples being; speeding up the Supply Chain process, driving cost out of Talent Acquisition, reducing Financial risk or Improving the Digital Employee Experience etcÂ
You name it - WalkMe can support it - hence it being such a great tech company to work for.
Post purchase, the Renewals Manager steps in to help the client to navigate a smooth renewal process, ensuring they have all they need to support procurement in a fast contract renewals.Â
And our Partner Managers support the end to end custom engagement process. From working with Global SIs to support a Digital Transformation Project to selecting the best delivery partner.Â
My role is to lead the team and ensure everyone is focussed, aligned on CPG targets and that they have the support they need to drive the UK CPG Industry forward in a truly innovative way!
What are the components of a strong remote culture?
To build a strong culture I find a balance of structure and agility, commitment and discipline is key. So we have weekly meetings, plus 1-2-1s to ensure constant comms at an individual and group level, plus a group slack channel. So lots of options as everyone likes to engage differently.
Strong remote cultures are built on strong connections. Strong connections are built with Hailey.
How do you make sure your team is happy and engaged in their work?
To build a strong culture I find a balance of structure and agility, commitment and discipline is key.
What's your biggest challenge as a remote leader?
I don’t get the watercooler moments that bring you closer so I make time to check people are happy and healthy in mind, body and soul. Sounds a bit hippyish but it’s important to me they are enjoying working in the CPG team and we address and support any stress areas quickly.
